Lt. Thomas D.A. Croci, USNR was elected a member of the Foundation's Board in June 1996. He received his Bachelor of Science from James Madison University, and a Juris Doctor from the New York Law School. During his undergraduate tenure, he authored the P.E.A.R. Program "Preventive Education Awareness Responsibility", an Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program for the Iota Beta Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. This was included in a grant application by James Madison University to the U.S. Department of Education.
As a law student and staff editor of the New York Law School Reporter, Lt. Croci authored an article: "Lawyers at the Bar", which detailed lawyer alcoholism. Lt. Croci was a volunteer for the New York State Bar Association Lawyers' Assistance Program, which encourages lawyers with alcohol and drug addictions to seek counseling and treatment. In addition, Lt. Croci successfully completed an internship for the New York County District Attorney's Office in the Office of Special Narcotics.
In 1998 Lt. Croci worked for the United States House of Representatives as a Special Assistant to the Honorable Rick A. Lazio. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1998. Lt. Croci is an Intelligence Officer currently serving on active duty in the United States Navy.
